—  About me

Hi, I’m Wynne. Nice to meet you here.

TLDR; 15+ years experience — copywriter, namer, copy team lead, brand marketer.

I'm an editor, writer, and namer working at the intersection of brand and product. I started as a namer and verbal brand consultant and expanded into leading brand copy and developing brand voice & style guidelines and copy resources for SAAS and eCommerce companies.

As an in-house writer and leader, I’ve developed creative and strategic brand copy, content, brand strategy, naming, editorial, and brand enablement solutions for top companies and agencies like Miro, InVision, R/GA at Google, Cole Haan, Squarespace, Etsy, and Interbrand — and been part of teams that received the 2014 National Design Award and a 2017 Webby Award. As a team lead, I've built and mentored writing teams, including hiring and overseeing full-time writers (Brand, Product, Growth, Editorial) and freelancers.

My freelance clients have come from nearly every industry: video games, luxury real estate, luxury fashion, Web3 & blockchain, television, publishing, SAAS, security, art & photography, and more. Highlights include naming video games for Ubisoft, writing taglines for the HBO TV show "Girls," developing verbal brand strategy (voice & messaging) for luxury real estate company The Related Group (Hudson Yards in NYC), naming TV shows for networks like Discovery Channel, TLC, and Animal Planet, and naming photographer Angie Smith's photography project, Stronger Shines the Light Inside, which tells the stories of refugees in Boise, Idaho.

I'm also a writer-writer: I co-wrote a Showtime-acquired feature film and published a poetry chapbook, blurbed by the late Poet Laureate of California emeritus Al Young.

I received my B.A. in TV/Video and Writing from Emerson College with internships at the Late Show with David Letterman and Comedy Central. Growing up, I was the on-air host for two Montana PBS documentaries, one of which won a regional Emmy Award and another a Parent's Choice Award.

When I’m not writing, you can find me traveling to new places, riding horses, reading fiction, watching docs, or making art. Born and raised in Montana, I now call Amsterdam home.
